CMC was one of a select few companies who completed the U.S. Small Business Administration's Emerging 200 Initiative program in November 2009. CMC was selected to participate in the initial year of Jacksonville's E200 program, which began in April 2009. The program's goal, according to the SBA, is "to identify 200 inner-city businesses across the country that show a high potential for growth—and to provide them the network, resources and motivation required to build a sustainable business of size and scale within a designated inner-city geographic location."
